Hello Familia!

My name is Chef Satandria Winston & I have been in the service industry since December 2019! Born & raised on the North Side of Houston, Texas under the guidance of my Mother, maternal Grandmother & Paternal Grandparents. I have always shown a deep passion for cooking and it was one of those things that kept me throughout the years. The kitchen was my happiness! I found a little piece in every cupboard and Every trip to the grocers on Saturdays! Seeing the plethora of  ingredients and the many possibilities truly excited me. The love of cooking was rooted inside of me. Heck my Paternal grandmother straight out of Shreveport, Louisiana taught me just about everything I needed to know and I was lucky. She taught me how to make my first roux! See how lucky I was? 

Fast forward to 2019! The words of my late mother resonated with me at a monumental time in my life and she would always say "San you aren't happy in anything you do because you aren't doing what you were blessed to do." Then came the pandemic and my return to Houston, Texas to be with my family! It was a delicate time for the entire world! I decided that I would do what my Mom said do. I Signed up for some culinary classes, registered with the State of Texas and here we are today! I am now able to not only do what I love but also serve my community through my Non-Profit, MAMA TECIA'S CARES. I am avid about our lower income communities having the knowledge to maneuver through Homelessness, Mental Health Diseases & Positive Parenting Methods! FIVE years since and we are better than ever and as usual, we are always Ready to serve YOU, We can't wait!
